Renewal Care Partners Receives Age Smart Employer Award
We are thrilled to announce that Renewal Care Partners has received an Age Smart Employer Award!
“We’re thrilled to have such a compelling group of winners for our first Age Smart Employer Awards,” says Dr. Jo Ivey Boufford, President of The New York Academy of Medicine. “These employers have demonstrated their organization’s commitment to embracing and leveraging the unique talents of a multigenerational workforce.”
“For an organization like ours that serves the aging population, an Age Smart Award is better than an Oscar,” says Patrick O’Brien, Executive Director of Renewal Care Partners. “So I speak on behalf of all of my colleagues at Renewal Care Partners when I say we are honored to accept this Age Smart Employer Award.”
Appointed by The New York Academy of Medicine, a third-party selection committee chose Renewal Care Partners for the award, along with Monetfiore Medical Center, Pfizer Inc., and Settepani Bakery. The selection committee included leaders from organizations in the private and public sectors, including Google, the Global Coalition on Aging, the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, and Proskauer Rose LLP.
“Working in an industry that serves many older adults, Renewal Care Partners draws from the wisdom, empathy, and dedication of older workers, creating a model health services organization that is also age-smart,” says Dr. Ruth Finkelstein, Program Director of the Age Smart Employer Awards.
In honoring Renewal Care Partners with the award, the selection committee highlighted our work with community-based organizations to recruit older adults, and our demonstrated commitment to providing training, support, and advancement opportunities to employees of all ages.
