Dr. Robert Kennedy
Dr. Robert “Robin” Kennedy serves as Medical Director at Renewal Care Partners. His distinguished career as a physician in geriatric medicine has spanned over forty years. Previously, he was the Director of Geriatric Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, Maimonides Medical Center. He also has served on the Board of Trustees at the Cabrini Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Robin has held faculty appointments at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, NYU College of Nursing, and Cornell Medical Center. His research in geriatrics has been published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals, including The Journal of the American Geriatric Society and Age & Aging. As Co-Director of the New York Consortium of Geriatric Education Centers, he has taught best practices in geriatric care to hundreds of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers.
Robin has been the recipient of numerous fellowships and awards in the field of geriatrics. He was a Fellow at the American Geriatrics Society, the Gerontological Society of America, and the American College of Physicians. Robin also was Chairman of the Geriatric Medicine Section of the New York Academy of Medicine.
Born in Scotland, Robin first studied medicine at the University of Glasgow. He received his M.D. from the University of the State of New York. Outside of work, his interests include gardening and international travel.
