Kri Van Sloun is a care partner who is passionate about working with people, with a specific focus on advocacy for the LGBTQ+ population. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Kri studied library science information systems and art history. They have over six years of experience working with seniors with intellectual disabilities as well as experience in art therapy programming for older adults. Kri is a very active artist and is the sole creator of “The Bathtub Project” an innovative and participatory photography series. Kri was drawn to work with Renewal Care by the opportunity to provide affirmative support to LBGTQ+ older adults who paved the way for queer rights. Kri also enjoys incorporating art therapy practices into her work with clients.
